Steven T. Hartford, Director of Operations

Biography:

Steve is a graduate of Fairfield University and has a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. In addition to practicing law for many years, Steve served as a government attorney for 8 years specializing in legislative and regulatory matters. He also served as a Municipal and State government administrator for 6 years before coming to Sitka.

Initially hired as the Hospital's Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for Federal and State regulatory matters, Steve was promoted to Director of Operations in May of 2015 where he oversees compliance, quality improvement and Hospital support operations including facilities, housekeeping, biomedical engineering and food services. Along with the rest of the leadership team, Steve is also responsible to advise the CEO on the strategic direction of the Hospital.
