Robert J. Hattle, RN MDiv, Board Member
Biography:
Robert J Hattle has been practicing as an RN for over 35 years. His primary clinical interest has been Emergency Services in small, rural Critical Access Hospitals in Arizona, New Mexico, Florida, and Northern California. He has also worked in Hospital Administration as Director of Nursing, Department Manager and has previously served on the hospital board in Las Vegas, New Mexico. For 10 years directed his own consulting company and nursing agency. Rural Community Resources provided contracted nurses for hospital staffing relief, pre-certification inspections and electronic health record installation. Previously, Hattle has been an ordained Presbyterian Minister and served churches in Topeka, Kansas and Orick, California. He also served on summer staff as both a nurse and pastor for Ghost Ranch, a Presbyterian Church retreat and conference center in Abiquiu, New Mexico. Originally from Xenia, Ohio, Mr Hattle came to Sitka as a "traveler" seven years ago and has worked at both Sitka Community Hospital and SEARHC. A an avid kayaker, outdoorsman, and community activist he considers Sitka his home by the sea that he searched for 40 years to find. He cherishes his two daughters and two granddaughters who live inMedford, Oregon and Chicago, Illinois.
